Flowers Around Town in March
Monday, 30 March 2026
The warm days are hastenig daffodils out of the ground. Everywhere I drive around town I notice flowers in bloom where I cannot even recall their green leaves. Problem is many streets are not ideal for pulling over in my car and snapping some images. I do my best, and here are the results.
Heading out on Creek Road in Alexandria Township. These were planted by the previous owner.
Daffodils are good survivors. I anticipate their sunny blooms will be an occurance for decades to come.
It was a successful Aha! momment for this picture. A school bus was pulled over but
did not have his Stop sign out. I tucked in ahead of them and got this picture out side window.
Water Foran Boulevard in Flemington, New Jersey. These daffodils have also been here a long time.
A lovely dogwood relative, Cornus mas in flower on Park Avenue, also in Flemington NJ.

There is a stone house on Ridge Road. A friend assures me that it was originally built in the mid-1700s.
These daffdils, though, were planted just a few decades ago, very few. But they have been
overrun by wisteria. Which will do that in very short order. It astounds, each spring
to see the daffodils managing to grow and flower amidst the tangle that has ensnared them.
